Each year, the Coral Gables Community Foundation organizes the “Tour of Kitchens” – a special event where attendees can tour 10 of Miami’s most beautiful kitchens in one day. It is undoubtedly one of my favorite events of the year!
This year, Lowell International Realty was a proud sponsor of the event, which took place on February 9th. An LIR-branded sprinter van escorted 14 of our agents and friends/clients on a day-long tour of the some of the most special kitchens in the City Beautiful. The 13 stops on the tour spanned the breadth of Coral Gables, from a waterfront estate in Old Cutler Bay on the south end to a historic home on the Granada Golf Course on the north side. Each kitchen had its own style, often reflective of the architectural design of the home.

Stunning & Timeless Kitchen with Peroba Marble Flooring
We may be biased, but one of our favorite kitchens on this year’s tour is our listing in the exclusive community of the Islands of Cocoplum. Featuring wood-grained Peroba marble floors, Calcutta marble subway mosaic backsplash, a walnut-topped family-sized island, floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry, and Miele and Sub-Zero appliances – it is simply stunning. The kitchen was designed by our interior designer client & homeowner, Patricia de Anda of White Sands Design, and her business partner, Debra Hopkins. Both women were at the home on the day of the TOK and were honored to answer guests’ questions about the materials used and the design process. As an added bonus, we were thrilled to provide exposure of our client’s talents and support her business endeavors.
This special kitchen was even featured in Coral Gables Magazine‘s March issue, found here on page 68.
