2018 Tour Of Kitchens Recap

Posted on: March 26, 2018

Once a year, the Coral Gables Community Foundation hosts a “Tour of Kitchens” where you can buy a ticket to see up to 10 spectacular kitchens in one day. Since previewing Miami’s most beautiful homes with clients is a favorite pastime, the Tour of Kitchens is one of my favorite Saturdays of the year!

This year’s Tour of Kitchens took place on Saturday, February 3rd, from 10 am to 4 pm. That morning, my friends and I met for breakfast and mimosas at the event’s kick-off party to plan our route. From there, our driver took us from house to house where we were able to peek at some of the finest homes and kitchens in Coral Gables (many open to the public for the first and only time) while enjoying samples from local restaurants stationed at each home. Ruth’s Chris lamb lollipops were a favorite, as well as the macaroons from the Biltmore Hotel. Prosecco martinis at the closing event were a lot of fun, too!

While it was hard to pick “the best” kitchen this year since each one was exquisite and unique, these three kitchens were at the top of my list:

Daring & fabulous Navy Kitchen in an Old Spanish

Classic & Clean White Kitchen in the French Village

Handsome & Ornate Woodwork in the Italian Village
